I'm an Illustrator & Art Teacher from the UK, now based in Copenhagen.
Illustration has always been a haven for me - a calming place where I can go to dream, express my inner world and appreciate the colours and details of my surroundings through quiet observation. Since childhood I’ve been concocting characters and stories, doodling on every available surface and mesmerised by watercolours.
I have over 5 years of experience working as a freelance illustrator, specialising in watercolour & digital illustrations for brands. I love that through client projects I'm always learning about new things, e.g foraging! Outside of client work, I am forever experimenting with new mediums in my sketchbooks, drawing on location, attending croquis classes and developing ideas for future workshops.

"Alysha’s talent, creativity and professionalism has been impressive throughout the various projects she has worked on for Forage Box. Our brand is frequently complimented for its style and this is helped enormously by Alysha’s input." Jim Parums, Forage Box Founder.
As a child I never felt particularly seen or appreciated by teachers at school - I was an imaginative and quiet kid and would often get told off for daydreaming or doodling on my school work. The one place I felt fully in my element was whilst attending workshops for children at the home of a wonderful artist named Sandra. She was incredibly inspiring and I honestly don't think I would be an illustrator today if it weren't for her encouragement.
Knowing just how much these art workshops meant to me as a child, I always dreamt of one day being able to run workshops for children too. In 2024, I had the opportunity to lead a Young Illustrators art club at a local children's bookshop. I learnt so much from those brilliant, funny, inspiring, energetic, creative forces (aka children, aged 4 - 11 ). Teaching made me realise just how much joy and purpose I feel through sharing my craft with others and since moving to Copenhagen, I've began running art workshops for adults!

When I'm not illustrating and teaching, you'll find me out walking, cycling or foraging in nature, doing yoga (which keeps me sane and helps balance all the time spent stooped over at my desk) and getting very well acquainted with my favourite bakeries in CPH.
